Samina lives in a small village located about 2.5 mi (4 km) away from our Life Center. She came to us for treatment of her baby boy who was not even able to breathe properly.
When the physician asked about what treatment the baby was getting, Samina said that they went to a doctor in a village. She showed us the medicine which he prescribed.
Upon inspection we found he was giving Panadol (acetaminophen/Tylenol) tablets mixed with water to the baby who was suffering from pneumonia.
He was charging $2 dollars for each dose. Later on, we learned that the doctor was just a quack and not a medical professional.
Our medical staff treated the baby and prescribed the required medication to him and Samina.
After a week of visiting the clinic daily, the baby was much better, and his mother was very thankful to RAM and World Compassion Fellowship for all the treatment.
Our staff at the medical Life Center work tirelessly to help patients who cannot afford medical treatment.
