Rukhsana* is a 16-year-old girl from a village who loved sewing.

But, as a villager, her father did not allow her to go to sewing school or pay fees. Instead, he preferred that she got married.

However, Rukhsana’s mother knew that our sewing school was free and that lots of other girls attended. She was able to persuade Rukhsana’s father to let her attend.

Now, Rukhsana is one of the best students in our class. She can already cut and assemble outfits. At home, she sews clothes for the neighbors to earn money and is very happy to help her father financially.

Rukhsana and her parents have set a good example for other families to give their daughters opportunities to earn respectfully.

She is very thankful to RAM for supporting village girls and changing their lives with different skills.
