Thanks to a generous contribution from the Harold C. Smith Foundation, RAM now has a computer training center!
We recently completed all preparations, and 20 young Christians are now enrolled in a three-month course to learn Microsoft Office, basic graphic design and video editing, and other fundamental computer skills.
Learning these valuable skills for employment will help to break cycles of poverty.
Anish recently enrolled in our course. She belongs to a poor family who lives in a rural area of Lahore. Her mother works in the house of a rich Muslim as a cleaner and sometimes they insult her because of her faith. Anish’s father works in a factory. Anish told me that she really wanted to learn computer skills, but there is no computer training institute in her area.
Anish said that she once went to a computer training institute for admission, but their fees was equal to the monthly pay of her father. She is very happy that she can now attend a computer training course.
